He came out here for a reason as Sony Pictures Entertainment releases the second official trailer for the upcoming sequel film Ghostbusters: Afterlife. View trailer below.
From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.
Hmmm….very interesting and looks a little better than what I was expecting. However, I do have a little bit of the same feeling as I did before, with this new sequel movie feeling a little bit like a Stranger Things rip-off. That being said, this new trailer for the film showcases plenty of new footage and definitely adds some new intrigue for me. From the trailer alone, the movie looks quite promising with plenty of new supernatural ghouls and specters for this new younger cast to thwart and save the day. Overall, I have a better feeling that Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but I still have a bit of lingering reservation about the project. Hopefully, the movie itself turns out to be the former and not the latter.
