The latest installment in the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai franchise, anime film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, will arrive in Japanese theaters this summer!
The film will adapt the eighth and ninth volume of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, the series of light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida with illustrations by Keiji Mizoguchi.
Soichi Masui will direct with a script by Masahiro Yokotani and character design by Satomi Tamura while CloverWorks will produce.
The overall franchise follows high schooler Sakuta Azusagawa, whose life changes when he runs into a teenage actress, Mai Sakurajima, who is dressed as a bunny girl. Mai suffers from “adolescence syndrome” and is currently invisible to everyone but Sakuta.
The TV anime adaptation aired in 2018 with a film, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, opening in 2019.
Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out opens in Japan in summer 2023.
